Introduction
The Faculty of Human Ecology offers a Major-Minor programme, Bachelor of Human Development Science with Management (Honours) – which combines two major fields of study: Human Development as the programme Major and Management as the programme Minor. This combination allow students to acquire and integrate knowledge and skills in those two fields. Changes in the era of industrialisation and the virtual world call for an institution of higher learning that produces graduates who are knowledge workers with the relevant skills for the nation’s evolving human resource market. The Bachelor of Human Development Science with Management programme is expected to produce workers with management skills besides effective roles as individuals in the family and society and organisations.

Introduction
The Bachelor of Human Development Science with Information Technology (Honours) is a Major-Minor programme that focuses on basic and technical skills in the fields of Human Development as the programme Major and Information Technology as the programme Minor. The programme is consistent with the national aspiration of becoming a developed nation with an emphasis on information technology. The programme aims to produce versatile, multi and inter-disciplinary graduates by preparing them with a combination of skills from applied Social Sciences (Human Development) and Technology (Information Technology). The information technology component is expected to give a competitive advantage to the programme graduates compared to Social Science graduates from other local and international universities.

Introduction
The Bachelor of Consumer Studies with Honours programme is founded on the philosophy underlying the creation of a consumer society that is well-informed, responsible, ethical and proactive, for the purpose of enhancing fairness in marketing practices and supporting sustainable development for improving the quality of life. The field of Consumer Studies integrates various disciplines in pure and applied sciences such as Economics and Consumer Behaviour, Management, Marketing, Science and Technology, Socio-psychology, Communication and Law. The programme equips students with knowledge and skills in aspects of consumerism so that they can become intermediaries between producers, consumers and policy makers.

Introduction
The Bachelor of Music with Honours programme encompasses various courses, with an emphasis on music aspects as performance, music technology, composition and therapy Music, aimed at producing skilled and knowledgeable music professionals. In addition, students will have the opportunity to become members of the Symphony Orchestra, the ensembles of contemporary or classical music, and choir. The programme has the potential to produce world-class musicians.
